07/13/08 - Newton's Cradle
Tammy loves these things and so do I. I wanted to tinker with some more animation
and this was suggested so I created it for Tammy. The speed of the animation seems
wrong. I will have to get one of these toys and actually play with it to see what
they really look like. I need to make the balls sway a little when they are hit to
make it seem more real. It is hard to beleive that it was 2004 when I last played
with animation. It is like starting all over.

06/11/08 - Triple Cross
My buddy at the office has this frustrating wood puzzle. I couldn't figure it out
but the shapes just caught my attention. It didn't take too long to modle the
basic shapes. The hard part was figuring out how to put the real one back together
so I could repeat the process with this computer version. This is also my first
use of "depth of field" which works like a real camera making some parts of the
image nice and sharp while other parts are out of focus. I think it adds a very
nice and more real look to the image.

02/18/08 - Five Diamonds
I was just playing with light and refraction and with one gem things started
to look interesting so I added a few more and adjusted the light. I hope you
enjoy this little eye candy. It took several hours to render. Setting up the
scene was pretty easy, but light takes a lot of computing power when it comes
to reflecting and bending.

02/17/08 - Flexi-Straws
I was working with flexable items and thought I would try some flexi-straws.
They were easy enough to create, but when it came time to bend them, it was
a little more work than I originally thought it would be. Things don't bend
in the 3D art world like they do in the real world. This will be fun to play
with in some future art.
