The Bathroom Goes Together
You can see us ripping up the bathroom on the demolition page.
Although, there isn't much to see. Only a couple pictures and this is a spill over from
the old dining room.
In one long weekend, we managed to put down the remaining
flooring in the old dining room and bathroom, remove the door between the rooms,
lay linoleum, wire all the electrical in the old dining room (soon to be new kitchen)
and start sheet rocking. Whew! Another long hard weekend. No days off for some time
now. But at least at this point things are going back together.
Above you can see the bathroom just after the linoleum went down
and how the walls are still plane sheet rock where the door use
to be. In the images below, you see a couple better views after
the wall paper has been put up.
We still need to put trim around the door, floor and ceiling.
That will be the last thing we do in the house. All the rooms
will get trimmed out in one weekend. We also took the time
to lay linoleum in the upstairs bathroom since the left over
from this room was enough for that one. Why waste it. Besides,
the upstairs bathroom was indoor/outdoor carpet. ICK!
