How To Play

• Columns is a little bit like Tetris in that blocks are falling from the top of the screen and stack up at the bottom.
• The big difference is that you don't get different shapes that the blocks come in. They are always a column. But they come in mixed colors.
• You change the sequence of the colors to lign up three or more of the same color up together either horizontally, vertically, or diagnally.
• The like colors are then removed and points given.
• This can get to be quite tricky as the dropping blocks speed up.
• In some versions (including this online version) you can change the direction that the blocks are moving. This is an odd twist to get use to at first but makes the game a lot of fun.
• The game gets harder and faster as you remove more and more sets of colors. In a two player version you will win the round when the other player has his/her blocks all the way to the top of the screen.
• You loose when your blocks reach the top of the screen.

The Online Version

• 8 = UP
• 5 = DOWN
• 4 = Left
• 6 = Right
• If you have 3 or more of the same symbols on a row (horizontal, vertical, diagonal)they will disapear and you will get points for it.
• This is a variation on Columns where you can direct the motion of the blocks and snake them into almost any position on the screen.
